The ESBA Scholarship is a big deal, and we’re happy to announce that you’ll be going to an amazing school!
You might be asking yourself, “Where do I study if I win the scholarship?”
The first “family link” for ESBA, Viola will soon be following the success of her older sister, who is already an Englanders Scholar at a school in Wiltshire.
Viola however is going to another school, not far from her sister, in one of Britain’s great university cities.
The school is academically rigorous – but what we know at ESBA is that, for the most successful education, learning should be integral to every part of every day, not just in the classroom, and whether the students are aware of it or not! It is a key part of boarding life. That is why at ESBA we are so enthusiastic about Viola’s school, where they proudly declare that what goes on outside the classroom is almost as formative as what happens within it.
For example, Viola will develop her love of chemistry not only in the classroom, but in the chemistry club and on chemistry trips and even by attending university lectures on the subject. She’ll be playing basketball that she already enjoys, but can also try everything from tennis to trampolining, and football to fitness.
Like Britain’s great universities, many of the country’s best schools are also long-established, and Viola’s school has been welcoming boarding pupils from all over the world for over a hundred years. They have up to 60 boarders, a large enough number for there always to be friends to share life with, but small enough to ensure the family atmosphere that the school is proud of. They emphasise that their students be kind and develop the integrity to be wise and courageous as they find their place in the world.
With a busy, happy boarding life to enjoy, Viola will grow to be a tremendous force for good in Albania, not just founded on her knowledge, but on the courage and integrity her school would expect.
ESBA scholarships are truly exceptional and offered each year at different schools to guarantee availability at the fixed price of £18,000 per year which includes all tuition and accommodation costs. This price is guaranteed for the entire time the child is at the school. For further details contact ESBA
