The ESBA Scholarship is a big deal, and we’re happy to announce that you’ll be going to an amazing school!
You might be asking yourself, “Where do I study if I win the scholarship?”
Last September, Kristi won an ESBA scholarship to a school on the border of the county of Surrey, south of London.
Situated at the top of a hill overlooking attractive parkland and with distant views to the city of London, Kristi’s school has an enviable location. It was originally an old English country house, but has added modern buildings and facilities. It feels like it is in a quiet town, but it is officially in Greater London, only a 20-minute ride from the famous sights of the capital city.
Founded almost 70 years ago, the school specialises in pre-university studies and its students regularly achieve places at some of the UK’s top universities. The school is small and committed to very small class sizes, which are typically just 6 students as the school believes this is a key part of helping every student reach their maximum potential.
As well as the traditional 2-year A level courses offered by all schools in the UK, for older students the school offers one-year Foundation programmes in business and in science. Kristi had completed his school education in Tirana and was eligible for the science foundation programme which is preparing him for a degree course at a London university.
Unlike most boarding schools, Kristi’s school has local host families where the students live, rather than providing its own accommodation. For the older students like Kristi, this increased independence provides further good preparation for successful university life.
ESBA scholarships are truly exceptional and offered each year at different schools to guarantee availability at the fixed price of £18,000 per year which includes all tuition and accommodation costs. This price is guaranteed for the entire time the child is at the school. For further details contact ESBA
