The most common Canada Visa:

    1. Student visa

    2. Visitor visa

    3. Post graduation work permit (2 year open work permit)

Student visas are applicable to the 2nd largest global education market, Canada.

In comparison with UK students visas the candidates are required to show their personal or their parents bank statements for at least 4 consecutive months before the application. Also, the immigration officer will look into the overall family assets and the student’s prospects in the home county ie how ill Canada studies influence employment and income prospect

We communicate with academic institutions and confirm acceptance/visa letters for our student candidates. The students should provide all required information, have the English knowledge that satisfies the academic standard of the academic institutions.

Student visas vary from 1 -4 academic years depending on program length. The student could  be required to sit up an aptitude test,  a credibility interview with the Academic institution but not the embassy staff.  All high school students will have a guardian in Canada who normally is a representation of School District International Education.

Most of the High Schools in Canada are public and students are accommodated in host families. Because the visa application timeline is quite long, in some cases even 4 months, the applicants should plan ahead of time for the academic institution application and they can apply at the Embassy even before the academic year in their home country has not been concluded yet.

Visitor visa (generally aligned with the length and expiry of the applicant’s passport) are the widely recognised tourist visas.

The overall factors that immigration will examine in order to grant a visitor visa are:

  • links the applicant has with the home county (family, residence etc)
  • overall financial and employment status (income from rent, salary, saving etc)
  • criminal record and previous immigration history or breaches of immigration Law
  • links to Canada for instance if you are invited by a family member who has a PR or Canadian citizen status.

There are 2 forms that are compulsory to complete as part of the application system. By far the most important information that you can submit is the client file which provides the officer with comprehensive additional information to understand your social and economical aspects. This document is called ‘client file’.

Englanders has an excellent track record in visitor visas with a positive result after 2 consecutive visa rejections that our applicants had made on their own.

We will look in details at each applicant social and economic position, review past applications and documents submitted to IRCC and propose ways to complete your profile for a successful visa application.

Post graduate work permit

is a visa program that allows students who have previously studied in a DLI (designated learning institution) to stay there and search for a job.

Both DLI and PGWP (POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT) status are granted by the Canadian Government and they are constantly updated.

An academic institution may have a DLI status but may have a partial PGWP status (ie only applied to certain degrees) or a full PGWP.

Please consult us for the most updated status of the institution you wish to apply to. The graduate work permit visa applicant will not have to prove employment opportunity through an offer or work contract and also will not have to prove funds in his/her account.

The post graduate route visa can be 8-36 months, but never longer than your studies period. You can apply for a PGWP from inside or outside Canada
